Those of you who know my evangelistic tendencies vis a vis CRM solutions may be shocked at the title of this week’s blog. What? Could Leaper be suggesting that CRM is not in itself the be-all and end-all?
No, it’s not. I rather like to think of CRM as the embrace-all, the make-sense-of-all. It’s a tool for bringing together both the standing pools and rushing streams of data and enabling you to see and seize the opportunities that occur in so many places and at so many often overlooked moments.
The Center of Things
I’ve written before about using CRM to deliver highly personalized services, and to enhance customer intimacy. Ideally, we aim to meet...

The City of Seattle sent out this press release today:
This Mothers Day weekend, summer-like weather is forecast for the Seattle area. The Seattle Animal Shelter urges pet owners to take preventative measures to keep their pets safe in the warm weather.
This week we have already had to rescue a pet from a potentially dangerous heat-related situation. Even when we have temperatures in the 70s, the inside of a car left in the sun can reach a fatal 130 degrees in a matter of minutes. When temperatures get up in the 80s or higher, its advisable to just avoid leaving your pets in a car if at all possible. Its not worth the risk, says Shelter Director Don Jordan.

Pharmacists serve a very important function in our healthcare system. With their guidance and expertise, they monitor and dispense millions of medications that medical providers prescribe daily. Their expertise regarding drug interactions and dosing schedules serve as a careful check and balance system to identify dangerous and potentially fatal interactions.
Recently, a proposal was brought to the FDA to create and develop a third drug category which would allow pharmacists to dispense drugs for “nonprescription use” that previously would have required a medical provider’s prescription. According to the Federal Register (http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2012-02-28/pdf/2012-4597.pdf...

FILE – This Sept. 19, 2007, file photo, shows the National Security Agency building at Fort Meade, Md., during a visit by President Bush. The military intelligence complex an hour outside Washington where the WikiLeaks case goes to court this week is known as a cloak-and-dagger sanctum off-limits to the rest of the world. That reputation is only partly true. In many ways, Maryland’s Fort Meade is an ordinary Army post, albeit one with a 5,000-acre complex and a golf course. It’s also home to the super secure compound of the code-breaking National Security Agency. (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak, file)
